Packdawg on Point: An Etymology

I would like to deliver answers on the intriguing genesis of this blog.
Some disclaimers before we begin: although I am an English major, I find ironically misspelling words and using ratchet slang highly amusing. You will also see multiple hashtags even though we are far from twitter and instagram #h8tersgonnah8.

Why Packdawgonpoint? Because:
 1) It could legitimately be a line from a rap song and I secretly want to be ratchet,
2) The classy alliteration going on: PackdawgonPoint, which is kinda nice. #englishmajorsteez

The background behind the background pic:
The picture of the cats frolicking in the meadow was originally the FB cover photo of some dude I met on tinder. From the caption of the photo, I assume someone made the image uniquely for him as a birthday present or something. When I saw it, I knew it had to be mine. I immediately copied it, made it my cover photo, and then promptly deleted and blocked the guy on Facebook forever--that's how badly I wanted the photo, because cats. It's so good.
...I also just realized how ratchet that story is.

More importantly, I know everyone wants to hear the etymology of "Packdawg":
Many moons ago, Packdawg became my nickname in highschool somehow. I believe the name stemmed from the fact that my last name is Packham  (pronounced like Beckham [#wannabeposhspice]- not Pack-um or Packman, btw). The name was orally communicated like "pack dog," but transcribed in print as "packdawg" because dawg is 100x cooler than plain-old dog--so there's that.
Realization: I may actually be ratchet (yay) because rap names aren't  given to just anyone, right? (In reality, I'm pretty sure that I was given that name ironically due to my overwhelming white-ness). I'm also stoked because I beat out like 20 black guys on Instagram by getting the name "Packdawg" first #winning.

Now onto the second half of the name: "on point." This is a phrase commonly used in Utah, but I somehow never heard it until like 2 months ago. A standard definition of "on point" is (taken from Urban Dictionary): "On top of things, in control of the situation,"which I used sort-of ironically because who has it all under control? Not me. However, I do have a job so I guess at least part of my life could technically be classified as "on point"? Yeaa..we'll go with that.

My other favorite definitions of on point further describe other facets of my life: "To be dope, elegant, fashionable, delgada, stylish, sexy,"--duh. But even better, on point can mean: "Strategically and creatively using somewhat bullshit but rather witty statements made up on the fly to ease yourself out of any situation or scenario," which is me 60% of the time, every time. More amusing defintions of on point here.

Well, I'm not wondering if you enjoyed that post, because I know you enjoyed that post. It was compellingly rich and now you know why the name for this blog is actually really clever/legit and not some weird gangster ish.

My next post will be a halloween special. Did I mention that all I do is win on Halloween?? I.e. my halloween costume last year as the American govt. shutdown #nuffsaid:
